about

The New Honey Shade + Josh Massad - September 26th

___________________________________________________

Recorded as a live improv on September 26th 2016 to celebrate the life and birth of Danette Lynn Kuykendall (1958-2005). A simple set up of pump organ, sitar, laptop, percussion and guitar loops creates the basis for these 5 works. Kuykendall is accompanied by master percussionist and sitar player Josh Massad. Aside from sitar and percussion, Massad triggers processed field recordings through an early 60's Silvertone tube amp, while pump organ is performed live.
